POMCTN Autumn Meeting 2016

Wednesday 9th November 2016 - Birmingham

The first event since the official launch of the Network in April 2016, this meeting is suitable for all clinicians, healthcare professionals and researchers who are currently active or want to be actively participating in clinical trials in perioperative medicine.

The Autumn Meeting will combine investigator training and up to date information on current and future trials.

Topics of the first meeting include what makes a good Principal Investigator, Common mistakes in clinical trial designs and Working with patient partners.

Current and future clinical trial proposals will be discussed with opportunities for networking with like-minded clinicians.

NIAA Scientific Meeting 2016

The UK Perioperative Medicine Clinical Trials Network officially launched at the first annual NIAA Scientific Meeting which took place on 14th April 2016 at the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Professor Rupert Pearse, the Network's director, opened the meeting with an overview of the CTN, why it was formed and what it hopes to accomplish.
